TydeX publishes guides, tools and a buyer directory for UK companies thinking about licensing their records to AI developers. This page explains where our information comes from and how we keep it accurate.
Where our facts come from
- Buyers' own pages. Every buyer profile and directory entry is checked against the buyer's own website, and shows the date we checked it. Price ranges and terms are the buyer's own published claims, not offers, and we label them that way.
- Primary UK sources. For law, rules and statistics we use legislation.gov.uk, GOV.UK, the ICO, Companies House, the Insolvency Service and the ONS.
- Named reporting. For deals and market news we use named publications and link to the article.
How we check
- Every page lists its sources, and every figure links to where it came from.
- Before a page is published, every claim is checked against its source in a separate review.
- We recheck buyer pages at least once a month, and sooner when a buyer changes its programme.
Independence
TydeX is independent. We are not affiliated with any buyer we write about, and no buyer pays to appear in the directory. Some buyers pay a fee to people who introduce companies to them. We tell every company we act for, in writing, about any such fee before it signs anything.
How TydeX is paid
We act for companies, not buyers. We are paid only when a company we act for signs a licence and receives payment, and our fee is agreed in writing before we start.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email charlie@tydex.ai. We correct factual errors promptly and note significant corrections at the foot of the page.
Not advice
Our research is general information, not legal, tax or financial advice.
