About Grepped

Grepped AI, Inc. is a Delaware company based in San Francisco (terms), founded in 2026 by Erik Newsham. On 6 October 2026, ARR Club reported that its founder had claimed a "$48M ARR run rate" two weeks after Grepped entered data brokerage. Dealroom noted that the figures are self-reported and that some commentators are sceptical.

What Grepped takes

"Grepped licenses your valuable company data and professional expertise to AI labs for training." It connects read-only to tools including Slack, Teams, Gmail, Outlook, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, Google Drive, SharePoint, Notion, DocuSign, Salesforce, HubSpot, QuickBooks, Xero, Zendesk, Asana and ServiceNow (Grepped).

Grepped works partly as a marketplace: "Approved listings reach AI labs. When they purchase, the money comes to you." Its business page also says "We license de-identified business workflow data to AI labs and research teams", so it acts as a licensor too (for business).

Who it accepts

Grepped publishes no minimum size, years or country rules. Its privacy policy mentions rights for people in the UK and the EU.

Prices and payment

Grepped's headline says a company's data could be worth $20,000 to $5m, and it says "up to 6 figures per workspace". These are its own estimates.

On timing, it says you are paid "within 7 days of your data passing review", and that "most companies go from filling in the form to payment in two to three weeks". The process is a 60-second estimate, a 10-minute data form, a scope and offer "within a few business days", a read-only transfer, then payment.

How it handles your data

  • Grepped says it strips "customer names, contact details, and identifying information before anything leaves processing". Its security page adds: "No de-identification method is perfect" (security).
  • Buyers see only redacted previews before a sale.
  • "Original datasets are deleted once processing is done." How long processed data is kept is set in your agreement.
  • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Grepped does not claim SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
  • "Your data is never resold to competitors or published."

What a UK company should check

  1. Who you contract with. Whether you are licensing to Grepped, or listing for labs to buy, and who holds the licence to each buyer.
  2. Previews. What buyers see in a redacted preview before they buy.
  3. Retention. How long Grepped keeps the processed data, as set in the agreement.
  4. Track record. The company is new and its growth figures are self-reported. Ask for references.
  5. Governing law. Its website terms use Delaware law. Check the agreement.

How Grepped compares

Grepped's top estimate of $5m matches Mode's headline figure, and it says it pays within 7 days of your data passing review. As a marketplace, it suits companies that want their records in front of several labs. Compare it with direct buyers in our buyer directory, or check any offer with the offer check.
